Superfoods and Health for the Magic Witch

It’s no secret that now, more than ever, you should be weary and stay vigilant when it comes to what you consume in your body. If you believe the old addage your body is your temple, then take note not to pollute it.

If you want the best advice ever, please, read the wrappers on your food. What used to be a bag of innocent potato chips has gone rogue. In previous decades I can remember my favorite chips growing up in Baltimore were made in the next state over. I remember reading simply a few ingredients including (vegetable oil, potatoes, flavoring) on the bag. I remember the bag containing a lot of chips and would last our family some time.

Now we have half that portion, and the same chips contain more things that one can understand or pronounce. My favorite chips growing up now contain some chemical that has been known to cause cancer. Urgh, how could you?

Often pondering why, I think the fact is the population is growing, and the food supply is dwindling, often times bio engineering or fake chemicals are the only way for companies to remain profitable and competitive and quite honestly, keep up.

The solution of course (and not always foolproof) is to eat organic or be more proactive seeking out better foods that aren’t containing so many processing agents or contents you need a double PHD to read. Chances are that those labels may be harmful when eaten consistently. I remember someone who worked at my favorite chip factory telling me once that legally, they were allowed to have a “certain percentage” or rodent feces in the batches. I thought that was absurd and ludicrous, yet I almost think it’s true.

So, the only way to make sure you are not ingesting cancer causing chemicals and rodent crap, is to grow your own, pay attention and eat organic when possible. I should mention that this labeling can be deceptive, and you will need to study all about it before purchase to ensure what you are paying double, or triple for (as organic is truly very expensive) is truly organic.

Here’s a great soup I made when my husband was struggling with his head and neck cancer. It energized and healed him.
